The next time you feel down, just remember that Bruce Banner tried to kill himself and Tony Stark has anxiety attacks, and they’ve both saved the world. You will be okay.
IGN: And I’ve got to ask about J. August Richards…
Bell: Killed it! He’s so good. He’s so good, because we were looking for this character M— I almost said his name. It’s not the one people are talking about.
IGN: He’s not! So I’m going to say Luke Cage, and you’re going to say…
Bell: I’m going to say that’s an interesting Marvel character, but no.
i am very proud of you for waking up today. you are very brave. existing can be hard sometimes and that is okay. i am proud of you even if all you did today was exist. i am proud of you for existing.
MCU Hawkeye fandom, I say this with the utmost love and respect, but why on earth is everyone flipping their shit over a speculative article from some random comics blog? There’s no confirmation, no actual evidence, just complete speculation, and jesus, we’re all freaking out over Renner being recast when there hasn’t been even a hint of official word about it.
I mean, I have a blog (other than this one). I write about comics stuff sometimes. If I posted an article based on my own speculation that Avengers 2 is going to be solely about Hawkeye, would you believe it? Probably not, huh? (and that’s probably a good thing, because that much power would go to my head)
So why do we collectively freak when somebody speculates something bad?
I sincerely doubt Hawkeye is out of Phase 2. We’ve all seen the pics of Widow wearing the arrow necklace in Cap 2, and that kind of costuming choice is very deliberate. He’s going to be there in some way, so let’s not worry about that yet. I mean, Avengers 2 hasn’t even been fully written yet, and we really don’t want to be in a high state of anxiety for another two years or however long it takes.
As for the Renner recasting rumors, again: absolutely no official word on this, just some blogger’s speculation.
There’s no use worrying so much about something that a) we don’t have any evidence for, and b) we probably won’t actually hear anything about for at least a year. So let’s all take a few deep breaths, get our heads back into zen fangirl/boy/person space, and then keep on loving Renner’s Hawkeye, okay?
